79 unique facts about me ^_^

hi puffins! this time, i'm gonna answer 79 questions about myself! they were answered from September 14 to September 19. hope you find this interesting! be aware this entry is the longest ever written in my blog. please, if you want to read this fully, reserve about 20 minutes. the song recommendations for today are... *drum roll*

🏳️‍⚧️Anthems For A Seventeen Year Old Girl (from "I Saw The TV Glow") - yeule🏳️‍⚧️

I watched the movie "I Saw The TV Glow" some weeks ago, and it was... confusing? It left me in a feeling of self-questioning and "what just happened??". "Thought-provoking" might portray it more clearly. I watched it because of this song's popularity on social media which derived from a trend where people said "they saw the TV glow". I love this song, I really do.
Now you're all gone, got your makeup on,
and you're not coming back"

"their big dream.": a song related to Nakba!!

 Hello, I'm BluePuffin!!

Today I’m going to share a poem/song, no song recommendations, sorry. Probably Li Beirut, but for this time, the focus is on my poem/song.

their big dream.🫒

they grew olive
by the dear river
looked for knowledge
it hurts, my liver

no food, it's sadness
sorrowful story
lies no forgetness
under their lost glory

their big dream, still remains
to let live and to just live
they won't ever budge to leave
Nakba still gives pains

i won't budge with your reasons
under these ruined seasons
my home burns metaphorically
while Gaza suffers literally

"no pains no gains"
what a lie
their food's off, and soon's july
"you lie, you lie"
don't say that!
as you chill inside your flat
or house, with no fear to die

their big dream, still remains
to let live and to just live
we won't ever budge to leave
Nakba still gives pains

through the starving days,
Nakba still gives pains,
to their lives, their wives, their everydays!
through inhumane silence,
we see the violence,
we believe that they shall live.

oh ah, oh ah
(shalom, salam, lam. shalom, salam, lam.)
ah ah...
but oh well, oh well, oh well.
oh well.

their big dream
still remains
to let live and to just live
we won't ever budge to leave
Nakba still.. stains.

Written today, by me, BluePuffin, Friday May 16. Yesterday was Nakba Day, and this is my way of remembering it. Nakba was when about 750 thousand Palestinians were displaced in 1948, with many of their villages destroyed. Nakba made Israel become a country possible. They aren't able to return to their houses or towns, even now, hence how Nakba still stains the present of injustice. I later changed the lyric "pitiful story" to "sorrowful story". I think I can share the emotional depth more clearly that way, without sounding like I'm seeing anyone as weak. The Palestinians may be anything, but they're not weak. So much years and so much suffering, and they're still here.
I made this because the few Palestinian songs I know aren't calm enough for me. I normally can't handle really moved lyrics. Therefore, I made it a bit calmer, but still revealing for those willing to care.
Below is a raw singing audio. Sadly, it still has the wrong lyric there.
Not polished, but at least I have a melody.

As always, don't forget to help people for free by "clicking to help" on arab.org!
 May happiness be with you.
 I love you all,
 BluePuffin💙

The Zone of Interest: dehumanisation and silence

 Hello, I'm BluePuffin!!

well, hasn't this blog been crickets for a while now? I guess I could just keep writing here like i never stopped. Sorry yall! I've been "busy" i guess. Or i've just left this behind... But, oh well, I'm back! A lot has changed, but everything is the same. Voici, the song recommendations!
I'll talk about a haunting movie related to the Holocaust called "The Zone of Interest" and share a poem that will make you uncomfortable, but in a good way.
A song recommendation, though unrelated to what we'll talk about:

I also recommend the song "Casual" by the queen Chappel Roan.
Get your popcorns ready because this will be a loooong entry, which might take you at least 10 minutes to read, 7 minutes for watching the videos (if you feel like watching them) and as much time as needed to reflect. This post discusses genocide and dehumanization.
Content Warning:
Consider reading at another time if you're reading this after 8pm or want to avoid being emotionally impacted for a bit.

shitty healthcare testimonial and stuff

 Hello, I'm BluePuffin!!

I haven’t written much recently, due to my rising hyperfixation on loom bands. I’ll share 2 poems and a more recent short one. This time, the song recommendations are reminiscent of some years ago. Here they are:

Missing out on school… and more and + POTM!

 Hello, I'm BluePuffin!!

Today I’m going to share 3 poems I wrote and define the poem of the month. Today, the song recommendations are:

The song “Super Trooper” by ABBA is being featured because it takes me to the past and, as you’ll see in the last poem of the entry, it reminds me of a time of my life.

The song “because I liked a boy”, by Sabrina Carpenters, talks about, as the song name suggests, all that happened just because she liked a boy. The song may not directly say it, but, as per genius.com, many people believe the song “deals with the sometimes harsh assumptions that she faced after she was made into a ‘tertiary villain’ in a love triangle with Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett”.

Thoughts on Project 2025 & the Lost Art of Letter Writing

 Hello, I'm BluePuffin!!

Today, I’ll talk about the controversial Project 2025, try to convince you to write a letter, and share a songlike poem I wrote. Today’s song recommendations are:

The song "Right Now" is a new song by NewJeans. I like it, though not as much as when I first heard it. The version I recommended here is a remix of the song made by Noksum, who makes song remixes.

"Oral" is a collaborative song by Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk and Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía. The song was originally created 25 years ago, but was reworked to become this new version, which also integrates Rosalía's vocals now. Income that they recieve from the song will be used for fundraising to support a legal case against fish farms, brought fort by citizens from a town in eastern Iceland. A friend recommended me to drop a listen to Björk and I found this nice song.
