live life.

Hey yall! little update: I added a lot of stuff to the blog on September 5 and 6, like a guestbook, chatrooms, an intro and badges! i hope you enjoy :). so, anyways, let's dive into the entry now.

hi again! *awkward* today's song recommendation is... *drum roll* MAMMA MIA BY ABBA!! 🥳🎉 this brings me back to when i was in a "do what sport you want" PE class and the girlies allegedly chose songs to play, and ABBA played. i felt like in a dancing salon, like the 80s, i dont know how to explain. certainly an experience, for sure!

also, Procura por Mim by Amor Electro always makes me feel saudades... (like something is missing from me)

🌍have you thought about the privilege of living like we do?

too often we live our daily lives botherlessly, wasting time on pointless things or spending it on things we find productive or enjoyable. however, i believe we should take a bit of our day, a bit of our lives, being grateful for having won the geographic lottery.

firstly, we could have been born in Gaza or Lybia or anywhere without access to water, WI-FI, food, treatment, education, yet, we simply were lucky to born in a place that met the requirements for being able to read this entry while breathing breathable air. it is a mere coincidence i was born in Portugal, as i could have been born in India or Uruguay, for example.

moreover, we struggle. everyone struggles, but most of us don't end up struggling like those living without the necessary conditions and/or rights. we must enjoy our lives, regardless of our love or hate for it. people in a war struck zone would give anything to live the life you do. the homeless man you saw that day would give anything to get a comfy bed to sleep in. so, we must allow ourselves to struggle while knowing there are people who have it worse and still persist. we struggle to pay a gym membership, to buy the new iPhone or to mantain ourselves calm when someone insults us, while others have to struggle to find food, to say the least.

in conclusion, you could have been living somewhere way less livable, yet, luckily, you don't. our struggles matter, but they could be worse. therefore, care for yourself and cherish your life for there are others who hardly can. time is time, cheers.
i didn't want you to dismiss your privilege as something normal, so i hope it was enjoyable to read that part. i hope you were moved by something so obvious yet unsaid. as always, you can help people for free on arab.org/click-to-help, and it's never too late to start signing petitions and... living life. too often we waste it. why wouldn't we? it's so easy to get lost in a never ending doom scroll...
